Come join beacon_hills, an interactive challenge comm for Teen Wolf. The very first Phase is starting soon and it'd be great fun to have some new member join in the fun.

There are two teams: team_argent and team_hale. They're both great teams, and which ever team you join, you will be sure to have a great time competing.

Apply for a team and be sure to tell them I sent you.

Come join me at the iconquest! It is so much fun! The first challenge is already up and I've completed it but you don't have to complete it just once. You can enter multiple times to get as many points as you can. I, personally, am saving up to keep up a shop where people can order graphics. It will be a good way to keep the graphics coming!

I've done this before but I've decided to go back to it. Most of my journal is fandom talk but there is maybe 25% of real life stuff that I'd like to save for friends only. Comment/PM if you'd like to be added! Or just send me a friend request. If we've met, I'll likely friend you either way, but if I don't remember you I'll probably ignore the request until I recognize it from somewhere. More likely, I'll look you up and see if we have enough interests in common to be potential friends.

If you are looking for my graphics, please follow the link on my side bar to marysxchaos.

If you are looking for my fanfiction, please follow the link on my sidebar to Archive of Our Own.

I'll add more information as I think of it, but feel free to comment/message me with any questions! I promise I don't bite!

I have a couple of fanmixes I should be uploading and posting, but I've got to finish the drabbles that go with them first. Heh. Heh. Heh. Anywho, take a peak below. :P

I am team Gothic | I am team Outers

landofart is a comm much like whedon land but dedicated to graphics! Any and everything shows up here and everybody is really friendly!

sailormoonland is, of course, another land comm dedicated to the anime/manga its named after. They have a lot of great writing challenges and you can also sign up to be a social member. They're friendly, and really helpful and a great place to network for more SM friends. You can never have enough!

As of Thursday, I will be working in Landcomms and giving them the time and effort they deserve! I'll have several weeks where days'll pass by and nothing to do, so expect a lot of updates and if you're so inclined, keep watch on marysxchaos.

YAY! Another scene finished. I'm currently at 2657 words! I've also got some betas - Roz (kermitfries00) as always will be doing the basics while Cally (eldestmuse) will be handling character corrections. Which is awesome because I'm having trouble keeping Eric in character - or even knowing if he is in character. Anyway, sample below!

Tara ignores the pain until she is too weak to stand up straight.Collapse )

I've discovered a new method of productive writing via this fic. Recently I've put together a binder where I can write my first drafts for fanfic. I write original fic as well, but atm I'm experimenting with some new methods I learned at a recent writers convention. Usually, when I write fanfiction of any kind, my brain makes me stop every ten words to find that perfect language but the only way to write productively is to get the basic actions and reactions down first, and prettify it later. I've found that if I find a themesong for the story, blast it almost loud enough that I can't think, I'm able to get the gist of the scene down. Then, when I type it up, I clarify the actions, extend scenes and dialogues and work the language so that it fits my vision of "good writing".

What about you guys? How do you write, f-list?
